Brockton seeks feedback on budget

BROCKTON – The Municipality of Brockton would like to consult and engage with residents about the 2022 Municipal Budget.

“There are many factors that affect the Municipality’s operating budget, and staff continually balance necessary costs and priorities while maintaining the service levels that our community expects,” states a press release.

“Staff are always looking for efficiencies that can result in cost savings. Activities are also tied to priorities set out by council.”

The municipality is encouraging residents to visit the Budget Consultation 2022 project on its online community engagement website at www.buildyourbrockton.ca/budget-consultation-2022. The page contains a budget survey, as well as an opportunity to ask staff questions and share ideas.

Brockton council will be holding special council meetings to discuss the 2022 budget on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m.

These meetings will be held electronically and livestreamed through eSCRIBE.
