CARRICK TOWNSHIP – A Brant Township man is facing multiple charges after ditching his car along Concession 14 in Carrick Township on Jan. 8.
South Bruce OPP received a report of the single-vehicle crash at 11:15 p.m. that evening. According to a police report, officers arrived to find the vehicle had left the road and rolled over before coming to rest in the ditch.
Police claim that the driver had been drinking alcohol.
Police reported no injuries at the scene.
The accused, 52-year-old Kenneth Cowtan of Brant Township, has been charged with impaired driving, refuse breath sample, driving while prohibited, driving while suspended and fail to wear seatbelt.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 29 to answer to the charges.
