Blyth driver charged with fail to remain, fail to report accident

WEST PERTH – Perth County OPP have charged a Blyth resident for failing to remain at a collision and failure to report an accident.

Police say the collision took place just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 28. The two-vehicle collision was on Perth Road 180 in the Municipality of West Perth.

“Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a pickup truck was travelling northbound when they were side swiped by another pickup truck travelling southbound. The truck stopped initially than fled the scene. Minor injuries were reported,” states a Jan. 30 media release from the OPP.

The driver, a 19-year-old Blyth resident, was charged with fail to report accident and fail to remain. The accused was issued a Provincial Notice for each offence.
