The reconstruction on Elma Street in Listowel is set to begin.

On June 16 at approximately 11 a.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the corner of Main Street East and Davidson Avenue North in Listowel. According to the Ontario Provincial Police, there were no injuries reported.

The new proposed industrial subdivision on Rocher Road in Listowel was given the green light by Perth County council at its June 15 meeting.

At its June 1 meeting, Perth County council received a report from Chief Administrative Officer Lori Wolfe, with an update on the Committee on Affordable and Attainable Housing (CAAH).

At its June 9 meeting, the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) report to the Huron Perth Public Health’s (HPPH) board of health covered a variety of topics. Dr. Miriam Klassen, MOH for Huron-Perth, presented her report to the board and outlined contraception measures being taken in Huron-Perth.

Lots of fun was had at Listowel Minor Ball Day on June 10 throughout the Memorial Park area in Listowel.

Elma Minor Ball Weekend was a home run. The weekend saw its teams play some serious ball June 9-10 at the Elma-Logan Recreation Complex’s ball diamonds.

Relay For Life has become a staple in the community and this year is no exception. This year’s Relay For Life took place in Stratford on June 10. The event saw a great turnout, with approximately 130 participants, as well about 30 participants of Hope and plenty of others there in support.

A proposed industrial subdivision could be coming to Listowel’s south end, as an application for an industrial plan of subdivision is being submitted to Perth County.
