North Huron renews lease with MRES for before, after school programming
Maitland River Elementary School (MRES) and the Township of North Huron entered into its annual lease agreement for before and after school programming during the 2023-24 school year.
Sidewalk construction begins at Josephine Street and Amberley Road
The work has begun on Josephine Street and Amberley Road (County Road 86), which will see many safety improvements, including sidewalks and pedestrian crossings. These improvements have been needed since the plaza opened on the east side of the intersection.

High-speed internet goes online in rural Huron County
High-speed internet service is now accessible to 720 residents in rural Huron County areas, including Hutton Heights in Wingham, according to a July 14 announcement from Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson.
Wingham Ironmen’s request for extended ice time granted
North Huron council exempted the Wingham Ironmen from the new ice in/out policy after the hockey club met the requirements set out in the policy to book and pay for a minimum of 35 hours of ice time per week.

CLC members join South Bruce delegation to Finland DGR
