Fall (the season not ‘falling down’) is now over and winter will shortly be on us. My doctors tell me to work on my exercise program as well as increasing my muscle mass by exercising the quad muscles.
ROPES – an emphasis on memory
I don’t feel that summer is over but our warm weather does continue. Maybe we will have an early snow. I am ready for anything.
A current update
This has been quite a past month. My health issues – dementia, autoimmune, cancer, arthritis, a bad right knee and melanoma to list just a few – continue as in the last six months, but non-health issues keep cropping up.
Longevity – life is increasing, with activity
In 2017 I had a SPECT brain scan at a local hospital. The results: Abnormal perfusion in the right temporal lobe and right basal ganglia.

I read somewhere that Canada spends close to $350 billion on healthcare per year. That is about $7,500 per person per year.
Artificial Intelligence is coming to healthcare
Yesterday, I had an appointment with my oncologist (cancer). The purpose was (I think) to bring me up to date with my progress in fighting melanomas (the trigger for re-emergence of my DM).
Memories – good and bad
My dementia is slowly progressing in my brain. There seems to be continuous announcements with potential solutions to help those diagnosed with one of the many dementias.
Good news – my melanoma cancer is eliminated
Three years ago (2021) surgeons removed two large melanomas (6.3 centimetres and 1.9 cm) from my left armpit area. Remaining were three small melanomas in my lungs.
Let’s Go for a Joe
Do you know what I am talking about? Of course you do. Virtually everyone has a cupa “Joe” every day and that includes me. This is a common phrase, known by everyone.
