After a life marked with love, kindness and devotion to family, Patricia Emmaline Wick passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Marshall Gowland Manor at the age of 86. Patricia is reunited with her late husband Larry Wick (2000) Devoted mother of the late Ralph Rayson, the late Debra Rayson and Douglas Rayson. Adored by her grandchildren, Jennifer Rayson (Michael Smith), Cody (Paola) Rayson and Ethan Rayson. She is the treasured GG to Aidan, Lennon, Astrid and Chloe. Loved sister of Mona Betker, Ila Scherer and Bonnie Hutchinson. Predeceased by her parents Annie and Ervin Hiusser and by her brothers Ivan, Gerald, Barry and Allan Hiusser.
Pat was a respected and accomplished chef and baker who generously shared her recipes. Whenever someone complimented one of her beloved dishes, she would happily recite the recipe from memory. Throughout her career, she worked in many establishments, but her favourite kitchen was always her own. There, she poured her heart into preparing meals and baking for her family, friends, and loved ones. Her food brought people together, and every dish was made with love.
Pat also had a deep love of the outdoors and could often be found tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, caring for her fishpond, or enjoying a quiet cup of tea on the deck. Gifted with her hands, she found great pleasure in sewing, crocheting, and embroidery, creating countless treasured handmade items that she lovingly shared with others.
In her later years, Pat found joy in reading a good book, colouring, and the companionship and comfort of her beloved pets, Gizmo and Phoebe.
Known to many simply as GG, Pat will be remembered for her warm smile, remarkable talents, and unwavering love for those around her. Her memory will be forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SFH- McKenzie Blundy Chapel, 431 Christina St., North, Sarnia on Monday, July 13th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a celebration of Patricias life following at 12:00 p.m. A burial of ashes will take place in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Marshall Gowland Manor – to support activities for their residents (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
