It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Sheila Ida Reynolds Sawyer Morrison announce her passing on November 27, 2025.
She died peacefully in her sleep, as she wanted, surrounded by her family’s love. Born in Minden on February 9, 1943 to Leslie and Muriel Reynolds, a much loved only child. In high school she met her soul mate and sweetheart, Beverly Sawyer. They were married on September 22, 1962.
Over the next few years they welcomed 3 children and moved several times, finally putting down roots in Walkerton. Joy turned to sorrow as her beloved Bev lost his battle with cancer. Some years passed and she found love and companionship with Lockhart Morrison, whom she would also lose to illness. She worked full time while raising three children and still managed to keep a perfect home. Her children grew and formed families of their own, giving her children and great-grandchildren who adored her as much as she adored them.
Predeceased by her parents, Muriel and Leslie Reynolds, and brother-in-law Donald Walker. Loved and cherished by her children Paul (Yvonne), Tammy (Darren) and Shane (Jessica). She will forever be missed by her grandchildren Trinity, Chelsea, Skylar, Aron, Brandon, Liam, Abbey, Amanda and Mitch and great-grandchildren Haylie, Douglas, Dennis and Robert. Sheila will be forever remembered by her sister-in-law, Darlene Walker, her many friends and a multitude of people who also called her ‘Mom’.
There will be no funeral service as were Sheila’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. Cremation has taken place. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
