Everett’s love of baseball, especially the Toronto Blue Jays, was well known. Back in his playing days, he was the first pitcher in the area to pitch windmill rather than orthodox, and boasted of having a no-hit game. He was an active member in Junior Farmers, where he met the love of his life, Lenora. As a lifelong farmer, Everett particularly enjoyed watching the young cattle in his herd. He was also an active member of the Salem United Church. Later in his life, he could often be found at his grandchildren’s hockey games, at the curling rink, or watching sports on television.
Visitation took place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 12-2pm at Tiffin Funeral Home in Teeswater. Funeral service followed at 2:30.
Interment Durham Road Baptist Cemetery.
The family would appreciate donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or the Durham Road Baptist Cemetery as expressions of sympathy.
