Calvin William Henry Frook

Calvin William Henry Frook, of Brant Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. He was 85.

Born in Brant Township on October 4, 1937 to the late Carl and Mabel (Leifso) Frook. Calvin farmed for his whole life and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed the life that farming provided and worked hard all his life with Elsie by his side. He was a devoted lifetime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brant and was very active with various boards, even making the last annual meeting this past Sunday.

Survived by his wife Elsie (nee Lang) of Brant Township. Dear father of Sherry Lynn (Keith) Bruder, John Frook both of Brant Township, Steven Frook of Didsbury, Alberta, Donna (Steve) Yates of Walkerton, Fred Frook of Didsbury, Alberta, Kelly Ann (Barry) Heaney of Walkerton, Carl (Marcia) Frook of Brant Township and Alec Woodward of Port Elgin. Dearly loved grandpa of Ben Bruder, Cody (Jocelyn) Bruder, Laura Richardson (Tommy), Allison Frook (Michael), John Jr. Frook (Emily), Jessica Frook (Brody), Austin Frook, Sierra Frook, Christian Yates, Kellyn Yates (Hunter), Claire Yates, Kieran Yates, Sydney Frook (Kyle), Darcy Frook (Wesley), Connor Heaney, Neil Heaney, Ray Heaney, Finn Heaney, Amelia Frook (Josh), Olivia Frook, Eric Frook, and by his great grandchildren Ethan (Jagoda), Eli, Wesley, Hudson, Davis, Brady, Jase, Luke, Ryder, Reece, Rayna and Ava. Fondly remembered by his siblings Bev (Dorothy) Frook, Ken (Nancy) Frook, Merla Cook, Marilyn Mighton (John Mighton), Marianne Jacklin and Karen (Don) Wilson. He will be remembered by his sisters in law Nancy Frook and Shirley Lang, brothers in law Victor Bell and Bill Tramer as well as many close friends, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Harry, sisters Grace (Robert) Osterndorff, Linda Tramer, Dorothy Bell and brothers in law Neil Cook, Fred Jacklin, and Alfred Lang.

Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 1-3 pm & 6-8 pm. Due to seating capacity limitations, a Private Family Funeral Service and Interment was held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brant Township – the funeral has been recorded and available for viewing on the funeral home obituary page. A casual Memorial Come-and-Go was held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 1:30-4:30 pm at the Elmwood Community Centre to celebrate Calvin’s life.
