The Huron County Slo-Pitch league held their year-end tournament in Belgrave this past weekend. The Wingham Smokies Ball Team won the “A” Division this year for the first time in their 48-year history. Wingham beat Seaforth 12-11 by scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning with two out. This year’s tournament was hosted by the Marnoch Maroons. The tournament was played with wooden bats in memory of Jim (Timber) McGee, who used to play for the Marnoch team. Pictured: The Smokies with the championship trophy.
