The festive spirit was alive and well at Wingham Foodland this holiday season. Bruce Armstrong and Betty Marshall, owners of Wingham Foodland, donated $3 from the sale of all Christmas trees to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation (WDHF). The promotion received such a positive response that Foodland completely sold out of trees before Christmas and were able to donate $300 to the hospital. This year the funds raised will go towards upgrading the chemistry analyzer for the lab at the Wingham & District Hospital. This vital equipment is used daily to conduct tests for local patients. Donations towards this project mean getting timely and accurate test results to physicians so they can make the best decisions for patient care.
