Two more veterans in Calvary Cemetery were honoured with a poppy rock. Veterans of the Second World War are exceptionally difficult to identify unless family members come forward. Les Binkley’s sister-in-law, Rita served in Canadian Women’s Army Corps during the Second World War. Born in Walkerton on Nov. 30,1924, the daughter of Edward Schmidt and Edna (Giesler), after the war ended, she married Walter Scott, Army Private #A51228. (Contributed photo)
