On Oct. 12-13, members of ‘Spartan Lacrosse’ visited North Perth Westfield Elementary School and led 15 classes on a mini lacrosse workshop. Students learned about the history of lacrosse and its ties to Indigenous culture, while the leaders emphasized the importance of education in following one’s goals. Students were instructed on how to use the lacrosse stick and maintain control of the ball as well as how to pass and shoot; many enjoyed the opportunity to try and score on the leaders. Featured in the photos are members of Westfield’s 7D class.
