WALKERTON – The Walkerton and District Hospital Foundation announced on Dec. 15 that more than $45,000 has been raised thus far for the Dr. R.J. Creighton Family Birthing Centre at the Walkerton Hospital through its annual Christmas Campaign.
This year’s campaign will fund the purchase of new bassinets, a Panda baby warmer, a newborn phototherapy light, a newborn scale, and an ECG component for the Panda baby warmer all for the Family Birthing Centre in the amount of $83,600.
Walkerton’s Family Birthing Centre does over 450 births annually, making it critical that equipment is kept up-to-date to provide the best possible experience for babies and families.
This Christmas, celebrate the new baby in your lives, commemorate a loved one, honour a friend of recognize yourself by donating to the campaign. Donations will be accepted until the new year and can be made online at www.walkertonhospitalfoundation.com, mailed to the Foundation at 21 McGivern St., Box 1300, Walkerton, ON N0G 2V0 or dropped off to the office.
“On behalf of the WDHF’s board of directors, we thank you for your continued support and wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year!” says Brittany Hawkins, WDHF executive director.
