NORTH PERTH – A Kitchener resident is facing some new charges along with previous charges from outstanding warrants from Owen Sound following an arrest made by Perth County OPP.
On Sept. 21 just after 7 a.m., a Perth County OPP officer came across a male party located at a business on Mitchell Road South in the Municipality of North Perth. The officer spoke to the male and subsequently arrested him for the outstanding warrants. A search incident to arrest revealed the accused to be in possession of some drugs believed to be fentanyl, as well as a stolen motorcycle. As a result, David Carefoot, 41, of Kitchener has been charged with: Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The accused has been held in custody.
