Walkerton Optimists distribute proceeds from Catch the Ace Draw to local schools

The Walkerton & District Optimist Club recently presented $2,000 to Immaculate Conception School in Formosa, and Walkerton District Community School (K-8 and secondary). The Optimist Club is a partner in the local Catch the Ace Draw, in conjunction with the Walkerton Legion Branch 102. Their share of the proceeds of the 6th Catch the Ace Draw amounted to $11,117. The Optimists bumped up the amount and has presented each of the six local schools with a $2,000 donation. The Optimist Club asked each school to submit a letter to them explaining what some of the current school needs are.
