WALKERTON – A local business in Walkerton is hosting a fashion show later this month, with proceeds to benefit a new community park.
Amazing Assets will present an in-store fashion show on Thursday, April 28, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 each, with all proceeds to benefit the new Market Garden park, which is being constructed in downtown Walkerton this year.
“It’s going to be an intimate show, with seating for 50 guests,” said Amazing Assets owner Susan Wright. “We’ll be featuring spring fashions for Mother’s Day, and we’re holding a draw where someone in attendance will win a $200 gift certificate.”
Refreshments and in-store prizes will also be available.
The Market Garden project, spearheaded by the Municipality of Brockton, will create a green space for the community on the vacant lot next to Walker’s Landing. The new park will include picnic tables, a water feature, a state for live entertainment, professional landscaping and more.
