LISTOWEL – Two people have been charged for theft after police they were caught shoplifting at a local business.
In a media release, Perth County OPP say they were called to the business on Mitchell Road South, Listowel on just before noon on Feb. 13 after two people were witnessed shoplifting.
Police have charged a 38-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both of Howick Township, with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charge.
