Two Brockton residents charged with drug possession

WALKERTON – Police have charged two Brockton residents with drug-related charges following a vehicle check on June 26.

South Bruce OPP say officers on patrol along Colborne Street North in Walkerton on Monday night stopped a vehicle around 7:17 p.m.

During a search of the vehicle, “officers found a quantity of illicit street drugs in the vehicle.”

The driver of the vehicle, a 43-year-old Brockton resident, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and care or control of a vehicle with cannabis. The passenger, a 41-year-old Brockton resident, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on July 25 to answer to the charges.
