Theft from Listowel business results in three people being charged

LISTOWEL – An ongoing investigation into a theft from a business in Listowel’s north end has resulted in charges against three people.

The Perth County OPP received a report on Jan. 21 shortly after 12:00 p.m. of thefts that had occurred at a business on Wallace Avenue North. Police say the suspects stole items from the business and left in a vehicle.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, three people have been arrested and charged.

Charged are Bryan Deveraux, 45, and Angelo Karageorgos, 50, both from Kitchener, and Alyssa Mirotta, 28, from Waterloo.

Deveruaux has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting, and failure to comply with undertaking.

Karageorgos has been charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

Mirotta has been charged with failure to comply with undertaking.

The accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charges.
