Bald eagles have been making more and more appearances in the area recently. Reader Connie Wolfe has spotted these magnificent birds multiple times in recent weeks – Dec. 11 just off County Road 3, one beside her house on Dec. 22, and most recently on the afternoon of Jan. 16 on Concession 4. Two eagles were in the field close to the roadway, however one flew away when she approached to get a photo while one remained to enjoy its meal.
