NORTH PERTH – The Perth County OPP has charged a Harriston driver after they were speeding more than 50 km/h over the limit.
On Dec. 13 at approximately 12:18 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Perth Road 140 in North Perth, after it was found to be travelling 136 km/h in an 80 km/h limit zone. As a result, a 45-year-old of Harriston has been charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
A 30-day driving suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
