MILDMAY – Mildmay’s Bavarian street festival, Stout ‘n Kraut, is returning this year.
The last time it was held was back in 2019, and then was put on hold during the pandemic.
The 2022 event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 on Absalom Street West, Mildmay between Elora Street (the main street) and Peter Street.
The festivities begin at 4 p.m. and continue on until midnight. There will be a heated tent for your comfort, a Biergarten, Bavarian style food and prizes for the best dressed.
The official tapping of the keg will take place at 5 p.m. It will be followed with music by Andrea & Andrew until 7 p.m.
The kids have not been forgotten, as face painting and airbrush tattoos will be available from 4:30-6:30 p.m. There will also be $1 hot dogs for the kids.
The Janna Leduc Band will take the stage from 8 p.m. to midnight to provide music for all the festival-goers.
Stout ‘n Kraut is hosted by the Mildmay & District Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds will go towards community projects. There is a $5 cover charge. Those 12 years of age and under are free.
