Stolen vehicle tracked by police, North Huron resident facing several charges

WEST PERTH – The Perth County OPP has charged a North Huron resident after they were found with stolen property.

Perth County OPP say that on June 14, just after 3:10 a.m., they were notified of a stolen truck out of Blue Mountain that was tracked to Perth County. Police say officers later found the trailer and truck abandoned, and the accused was observed in the area.

A 22-year-old resident of North Huron is facing several charges, including:

  • two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
  • failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court;
  • two counts of operated while prohibited;
  • dangerous operation;
  • three counts of fail to comply with probation order; and
  • three counts of driving while under suspension.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
