South Bruce Council takes measured approach to infrastructure deficit

The Municipality of South Bruce, according to a recent asset management review, has numerous categories of infrastructure labelled as “very poor”, or near the end of its lifecycle. To prepare for the necessary replacement, council approved a plan that would see approximately $7 million per year put towards maintaing, replacing or upgrading assets. Council, however, is not bound by the decision and may change the amount contributed at each year’s budget deliberations.
