With Christmas just around the corner, Bruce County Social Services received a huge helping hand from the Second Hand Rose Shop in Walkerton. With community partners Huron Tractor and many others, the shop uses profits to buy gifts for children. Social services provides them with basic information about the children they’re buying for – age, gender, and what the child likes. Then they go out and buy toys, books, pajamas, treats and toiletries. Volunteers provide knitted and crocheted items.
