Scaled-back Paddyfest 2022 kicked off March 5

Slate of events lined up for this coming weekend

LISTOWEL – It may not be ‘North America’s largest Irish festival’ this time around, but the important thing is Paddyfest has returned.

The 2022 edition of the Listowel Kin Family’s celebration of all things Irish kicked off on March 5, with the first of several scaled-back events taking place at the Kin Station. The opening night pub sampler on Saturday featured beer and liquor tastings courtesy of Sleeman Brewery and the Spring Mill Distillery, which was well attended according to Paddyfest co-chair Jeremy Reid.

The sampler was followed up by a musical performance featuring local act, ZAMM.

“Thanks to Ross Danbrook from Sleeman Brewery for imparting his knowledge of the products and answering any questions. ZAMM put on a great show for the crowd,” said Reid. “Thanks to Pat Berfelz and her team who donated their time, decorations, and prepared the Kin Station for the two-week celebration.”

The evening’s festivities also included a Pub Night Sampler, which was enjoyed by all, according to Paddyfest co-chair Jeremy Reid. Also pictured taking in the ZAMM show on Saturday night were locals Shelby Donegan, Michelle Quipp, Noah Terpstra, Brianne Donegan and Jenna Bitton. (Dan McNee Photo)
