WALKERTON – A Saugeen River water blessing event will be held on Sunday, June 11 at Lobies Park in Walkerton.
The event is being organized by Truth and Reconciliation Walkerton, and begins at 2 p.m.
The water blessing will be guided by Ojibway and Mohawk Elder Shirley John of the Chippewas of the Saugeen First Nation, followed by storytelling with Potawatomi and Ojibway Elder Priscilla Yellowhead Tobey.
Refreshments will follow.
