HOSPICE PROJECT PROCEEDING - Shovels will be in the ground this year, for the new Saugeen Hospice to be located in Walkerton’s East Ridge Business Park. This hospice is expected to be open to families by the summer of 2028. Close to $8 million in donations and pledges have been secured and hospice officials are confident that “with continued community support, it will reach the $10 million goal to build this hospice residence.” (Pauline Kerr photo)
