The Rotary Club of Walkerton presented a cheque for $6,000 for Victoria Jubilee Hall’s new entrance stairs. The concrete stairs that were replaced, along with the columns and upper porch were thought to have been installed in the late 1920s and early 1930s, in place of the original 1897 wooden stairs, columns and upper porch. In recent years, the entrance stairs and entrance pad were deteriorating and needed replacing for both safety and appearance reasons. The project demolition and reconstruction were done by Phil Thompson Concrete of Teeswater. (Pauline Kerr photo)
