BRUCE COUNTY – Bruce County announced earlier this week that repairs to the Willow Creek Bridge, on the Bruce County Rail Trail near Paisley, are now complete. The bridge is now open for non-motorized users only and will re-open for motorized use in the spring of 2023.
The Willow Creek Bridge sustained heavy fire damage in the spring of 2021, which closed the Bruce County Rail Trail between Victoria Street in Paisley and the Bruce-Greenock North Road.
Repairs to the bridge included the construction of new beams, railings, and decking.
“The Bruce County Rail Trail is a key part of our active transportation system and a valuable recreational opportunity for County residents,” said Amanda Froese, director of transportation and environmental services.
“The reconstruction of the Willow Creek Bridge was an important priority this summer and we thank the public for their patience and understanding while this work was underway.”
