On Jan. 15, the province announced $1.5 million in funding for Saugeen Hospice Inc. The announcement was made in front of a room filled with volunteers and committee members, some of whom have been working on the project for nearly a decade, at the Best Western in Walkerton. Volunteers were joined by local dignitaries, including Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson, Brockton Mayor and Bruce County Warden Chris Peabody, Hanover Mayor Sue Paterson, Brockton Coun.
