Police seize over $192K worth of drugs in Walkerton raid

Five people facing charges

WALKERTON – Five people are facing charges following the execution of a search warrant at an Amelia Street residence on Thursday.

According to police, the Oct. 20 raid resulted in the seizure of “a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, oxycodone, lysergic acid and ecstasy.”

The estimated value of these drugs is $192,340.

Also seized during the raid were an unspecified amount of Canadian currency, cell phones, tablets, scales, a handgun, a replica shotgun, and two replica handguns. Police say the estimated value of these items is $12,855.

Three Brockton and two West Grey residents face charges.

Dennis Wihnon, 40, of Brockton was charged with:

  • possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking;
  • possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm;
  • possess a firearm contrary to a prohibition order;
  • careless use of a firearm;
  • possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm; and
  • possessing a prohibited weapon.

Donna Young, 63, and Alyvia Theobald, 24, both of Brockton, were charged with:

  • possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking;
  • possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm;
  • careless use of a firearm;
  • possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm; and
  • possessing a prohibited weapon.

Wihnon, Young and Theobald were all held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing in Walkerton court.

Dwyane Burns, 57, of West Grey was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Patricia Cousins, 43, of West grey was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Both Burns and Cousins will be appearing in Walkerton court at a later date to answer to the charges against them.
