WALKERTON – South Bruce OPP are interested in viewing any video, including dash cam video, of the area of Centennial Park between midnight of Aug. 7 and 4 a.m. on Aug. 8.
At 2:01 a.m. on Aug. 8, police received a report of a fire in the park, and responded, along with members of the Walkerton Fire Department.
The building at the splash pad, containing washrooms and mechanical equipment, was destroyed by the fire. The splash pad will be closed until repairs can be made, which could take a considerable length of time.
