Police investigating thefts from work truck, job site in North Perth

NORTH PERTH – Police are investigating two separate thefts of construction tools in North Perth that took place recently.

Police received the first theft report on Dec. 12 around 8 a.m. It was reported that sometime between Dec. 9 at 3:20 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 7:20 a.m. an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to a truck parked at a work site on Monument Road in Atwood.

Perth County OPP provided the Listowel Banner with the following list of some of the stolen items:

  • a DeWalt cordless saw;
  • a DeWalt cordless reciprocating saw;
  • two DeWalt batteries;
  • a one-inch wrench;
  • a 7/8-inch wrench; and
  • one grey and black bag containing a Mastercraft cordless impact driver, a Mastercraft cordless drill, a battery charger and three Mastercraft batteries.

A second report of theft was received by police on Dec. 12 around 8:30 a.m.

It was reported to police that sometime between Dec. 9 at 5 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 8:30 a.m. that an unknown suspect(s) entered a work site on Davidson Avenue North in Listowel and removed an estimated $3,000 worth of extension cords.
