Police investigating theft of swing from Listowel school playground 

LISTOWEL – Police are investigating after the theft of a swing from a school in Listowel.

On Feb. 10, Perth County OPP received a report of a theft from a school playground located on Binning Street West, Listowel. According to police, two people had attended the playground area just before 6:30 a.m. and cut the unique rope swing set, which is valued at approximately $5,000.

The two people involved are described as:

Person of Interest #1 – female, wearing dark clothing

Person of Interest #2 – male, tall, wearing construction/traffic type vest or coat

They were last observed dragging the swing on Campbell Street West, in Listowel. Police are requesting anyone who may have video surveillance of the area, or who may know the identity of the two people involved.
