Police investigating another theft from Listowel construction site

LISTOWEL – Perth County OPP are investigating yet another theft from a construction site in North Perth.

Police responded to a reported break, enter and theft just before 8 a.m. on Dec. 8 on Bell Crescent in Listowel.

It was reported that an unknown suspect(s) entered a trailer on the property and stole multiple tools sometime between Dec. 7 at 5:10 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 7 a.m.

The estimated value of the stolen tools is $10,000.

Another tool theft

Police are also investigating a break, enter and theft that took place at a business on James Street in Listowel.

Members of the OPP responded to the reported theft just before 9 a.m. on Dec. 13. It was reported that roughly $3,700 worth of tools was stolen from a woodshop on the property sometime overnight.

Perth County OPP are asking the public to report suspicious activity immediately, and remember to lock doors to vehicles, houses, garages, and sheds. Residents are reminded to not leave keys with vehicles, including ATVs. Residents should also consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras and/or alarms.
