LISTOWEL – On Sept. 9 just before 10:30 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police officers were conducting patrols in the area of Barber Avenue North in the Municipality of North Perth. An officer observed an individual with outstanding warrants, and an attempt to complete an arrest was initiated. After a foot pursuit, the individual was arrested.
As a result, Daniel Battye, 34, of North Perth has been charged with: Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court (two counts); fail to comply with probation order (two counts), and resist peace officer.
The accused in this matter was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
