Pink flowers

Dr. Gary Bajurny recently found an unusual treasure on his Geeson Ave. property – lovely pink blossoms like these, only at the top of a blue spruce tree. He noticed the flowers around the time of the official unveiling of the art piece in memory of his wife, Nancy Bajurny, longtime president of the Walkerton Horticultural Society. “Pink flowers were her favourite,” he said. At first, he wondered if someone had placed the blooms in the tree, but finally solved the mystery – a vine, climbing from the ground to the top of the tree. (Pauline Kerr photo)
