ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH – On July 24, at 4:30 p.m., the Huron County OPP say they received a report of a single vehicle collision at a private driveway along Amberley Road in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township.
Officers attended with members of the Lucknow Fire Department and Huron County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find that a vehicle had struck a person in the driveway.
Police said in a release the victim was taken to a local hospital by Huron County EMS, where they were pronounced deceased. Police have not released the name of the deceased as of press time.
Members of the OPP Traffic Investigation Management and Enforcement (TIME) unit and Huron County Crime Unit are assisting with the investigation that is still in its early stages, according to a police statement.
