Ontario Liberal Party leadership candidates coming to Wingham

‘Talking Leadership in Huron Bruce’ event set for April 29

WINGHAM – Several Ontario Liberal Party leadership candidates will be coming to Wingham later this month to speak to Huron-Bruce supporters.

The Huron-Bruce Provincial Liberal Association is hosting “Talking Leadership in Huron Bruce” at the Wingham Golf and Curling Club on Saturday, April 29 from 2-5 p.m.

“We will have several potential Ontario Liberal leadership candidates in attendance,” said Jim Newman, director of communications for the Huron Bruce Provincial Liberal Association in an email. “(They will) share their personal messages and take questions from all in attendance. We are looking forward to this event.”

While the leadership race hasn’t officially begun and no date has been set for the leadership election, four names have been confirmed for the April 29 event:

– Nate Erskine-Smith, MP for Beaches-East York;

– Stephanie Bowman, MPP for Don Valley West;

– Ted Hsu, MPP for Kingston and the Islands; and

– Adil Shamji, MPP for Don Valley East.

Admission for the event is free, but donations are being accepted to “assist with building momentum towards 2026.”

While registering for the event is not required, organizers ask those interested in attending to RSVP to assist with planning food and seating requirements. Interested individuals can RSVP by emailing hbontarioliberal@gmail.com or calling 226-839-0660.
