NORTH PERTH – On Aug. 10, 2024, Perth County OPP began investigating an assault that took place in Listowel between 3:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street West and Mitchell Road South.
One person was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital.
According to an OPP media release, one person has been arrested and charged following an investigation into an aggravated assault with an edged weapon that occurred in the Municipality of North Perth.
A Listowel resident, aged 21, has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
Police say the accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police are still seeking any witnesses and/or dash-cam video footage of the incident.
