Tosca Maria Teresa Danner (nee Langenegger) – in her 88th year passed peacefully in her sleep on November 7, 2024, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, surrounded by her family after a brief respiratory illness.
Loving wife to Erwin and devoted mother to Roland (Monika Lis) of Oakville and Carmen (Paul Wharram) of Kingsville. Beloved grandmother (Nonni) to Luke, Kate, Leo and Isabelle. Predeceased by her father, Gottfried, and mother, Piera (Baccarani), and two brothers, Tristano and Romano, all of New Hamburg.
A brilliant and respected nurse at St. Mary’s General Hospital (class of 1960), Listowel Memorial Hospital, and various seniors’ residences, she was a life-long dedicated, passionate and ardent pianist, and determined organist later in life. Her love of music was evident through her involvement with numerous community and church choirs throughout southwestern Ontario, most notably at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Listowel and Wallace Township and at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, also in Listowel. She will be deeply missed by all of her extended family, colleagues and friends.
Relatives and friends will be received at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1025 Wallace Ave. N. Listowel on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 9:30 – 11:00am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Reception to follow with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
