It is with heavy hearts the family of Terry Montag announces her peaceful passing at Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario, in her 82nd year. Terry is survived by her devoted husband Alphonse (Al) of 61 years, daughters Deborah Baron, Kim Montag, and son Jeff (Brenda). Grandchildren Jamie, Shaun, Katryna, Crystal, Tyler, Stacie, Kaitlyn, Abigail, and Eric. Great-grandchildren Isabella and Charlotte. Born in Chepstow Ontario, predeceased by father George, mother Olive, sisters Louise, Florence, and brother Gerald.
Terry was a life member of the Moose Lodge, an active member of the Catholic Women’s League, and an avid bowler. Terry took great pleasure in beating her family members at Solo, Cribbage, and video games. Terry loved to fish and camp, go dancing and play the piano. Terry was a devout Catholic and her interests included country music, genealogy, travel, crossword puzzles, and gardening.

Always in our hearts, Mom, your infectious laugh and beautiful smile will be sorely missed. Even on dark days, you shared your light with the world.
Terry’s family received relatives and friends from 4:45 – 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at St. Mark Roman Catholic Parish. Those unable to attend may join the Mass via live stream at henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, VON Oxford Sakura House, or the St. Mark Parish Kitchener mortgage fund.
