It is with great sadness that the family of Steven William Horn announce that our favourite cowboy passed away suddenly in Kincardine on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the age of 61.
Steve was a true renaissance man, a trained chef, a troubadour, a horseman, and a motorcycle enthusiast, but to his family, he was our husband, our father, and our grampie. He had seen more of this world than most but always returned home to his family in Listowel. They were his greatest joy.
Steve is lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Heather (Cleghorn) Horn, his children Avery Horn and Melanie, and Molly Horn and Jack, and his grandchildren Hendrix and Harley.
Brother of Laurie & Paul Hurst of Durham, Paul & Tammy Horn of Listowel, and Jennifer Annett of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Son-in-law of Wilma Cleghorn of Guelph, and deeply missed also by Heather’s siblings and his nieces, nephews, many friends.
Predeceased by his parents Samuel & Lois (Ludwig) Horn, father-in-law David Cleghorn, and by his brother-in-law Bradley Annett.
A private family funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel, followed by interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
The Celebration of Steve’s life will be held at Parkview Gardens (565 Elizabeth St. E., Listowel, beside Listowel Legion) on Friday, July 4, 2025 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel, would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
Rest in peace Steve, your journey is done.
