Sheila Mary (Massie) Brown of Wingham passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, in her 89th year.
Wife of Alistair Brown.
Mother of Carol & Ron Nelemans of Listowel, Kevin & Randi-Lynn Brown of Orillia, Phillip & Catherine Brown of Saskatchewan, and Marian & Dennis Gadd of Listowel.
Grandmother of Julie & Tim Haugh, and Kelly & Dave Bridge, all of Listowel, Ashley Brown of Orillia, Ryan & Lacey Brown of Manitoba, Dixie-Lynn Brown of Orillia, Cayley Brown & Cody Milne of Alberta, and Connor Gadd & Michael Liles of Listowel, and great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Chelsea, Abigail, Chloe, Ayden, Shaye, and Bentley.
Predeceased by her sister Freida and her husband Tom McCoullogh.
Sheila was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and moved to Canada with her husband and children in 1968. Over the years, she called several towns home including Cambridge and Chesley, before settling in Wingham.
Sheila and Alistair were married for 68 years, and he will miss her greatly.
She enjoyed working as a Dietary Supervisor at St. Luke’s Retirement Home in Cambridge and at Birmingham Lodge in Mount Forest.
Sheila loved gardening, music and proudly shared batches of her homemade shortbread with friends, family, and the community.
She will be missed.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
