Sandra passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Sandra was born on March 24, 1950 in Guelph Ontario, daughter to Harry and Grace Wilson (Eskrick). Sandra retired after a lengthy career in Timmins as Broker and co/owner of Claim Post Realty. Sandra was also past president to the Timmins Chamber of Commerce and well known within the business sector. She moved to Listowel Ontario in 2005, where she spent her retirement years.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband Jim of 50 years; sister Myrna Kozier (late Dr Edward L Kozier); brother Larry Wilson (Anne Devorski); nephews Ben (Merideth) and baby Grace; Ryan and Zach Wilson.
Sandra lived a full life in both work and travel. Always someone with a smile and a genuine care for people, she enjoyed the many close friends she made over the years in her time up North with Jim. Upon retirement, Jim promised Sandra that she could move anywhere she wanted. She very much enjoyed her home in Listowel, that with Jim, they designed together. She often said she loved the quaintness of the farm community and the people who resided in it. Sandra’s warmth always made everyone feel welcome in her company.
The visitation was held for family and friends at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, August 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 10, at 11 a.m. Interment was at Avondale Cemetery.
