Ruth Parkhouse of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday March 17, 2022 at the age of 90. Ruth enjoyed attending music festivals with her husband Allen, knitting, bird watching, camping and spending time with her family. She was employed at Campbell’s Soup, Listowel for over 25 years.
Beloved wife of the late Allen Parkhouse who predeceased her in 2010. Loving mother of Peggy (Ken) Johnston, Harv (Ginny), Linda (Gord) Coulter, Susie (Clare) Schiestel, Brad (Grace). Special grandma of Terri (Mike), Ryan (Tasha), Nathan (Alex), Brandon, Shawn (Meghan), Todd (Katie), Amanda (Ryan), Chad (Shannon), Erin (Cory), Ben, Alex (Maralee), Andrew (Amanda) and great-grandma of Dustyn, Talyn, Kylie, Leah, Ila, Jack, Dylan, Boston, Sydney, Kayden, Kiyran, Mariah, Madeline, Abbi, Everly, Nicholas, Livie, Everleigh, Nixyn, Tre, Parker, Mishca, William, Brynn, Gray, Colby, Nevaeh, Lilly, Emma and great great-grandma of Sloane and Finn. Dear sister of Phyllis Hannah and Bill Heibein.
Predeceased by her parents George and Charlotte (Candler) Heibein, sisters Jean, Gertie, Joyce, Julena, Kate and brothers Lloyd, Jack and Stan.
A private family memorial service to celebrate Ruth’s life was held at Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood (519-356-2382) on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 with Rev. Ernie Naylor officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
