Ruth Muriel Sells (née Pfohl) passed away at St. John Hospice in Vancouver on July 13 in her 84th year.
Proud mother of Rachel (James) Stewart and Steven (Dawn) Sells. Loving grandmother of Owen, Aidan, and Iain Stewart, and of Emilia and Madeleine Sells. Dear sister of Stewart Pfohl. Predeceased by her husband Victor Sells (2010) and her parents George and Zenobia Pfohl.
Ruth was born and raised in Walkerton, Ontario. She attended Stratford Normal School, where she met lifelong friends Ruth, Grace, and Elizabeth. Ruth and Victor married in 1967 and spent the next four years in England.
On returning to Canada, Ruth and Victor settled in London, Ontario, where they raised their family. Ruth taught in several London secondary schools for many years.
Retirement allowed her to travel, quilt, and work in her extensive garden.
Ruth wished for no funeral service. Cremation has taken place with private interment at Melrose Cemetery.
